Removal of Stains
We can help remove superficial white, brown, gray, or orange stains
that appear on tooth surfaces. They appear for many reasons:
cigarettes, coffee, tea, and tetracycline. They can also be
hereditary. Regardless of their origin, they may be removed through
a routine cleaning, or a tooth whitening session. Other methods
include:
- Microabrasion: This method is usually fast,
relatively inexpensive and produces a permanent result.
- Restorations: Spots or discolorations, which go
deeper, may be eliminated through small restorations.
- Veneers/Bonding: Thin-custom-made pieces of plastic
or porcelain called veneers can be bonded to the surfaces of
teeth to cover the spots. Veneers provide an excellent
appearance and can last several years.
